Notice no "Newquay Promotions" banner, and the bandstand being a little more sparse than in the photographs further above. This two photographs, above and below, are from an earlier date.

Killacourt Open Air Gig - Newquay
We played several late afternoon/evening gigs on the Killacourt in Newquay.
Personnel, from left to right: Graham Hicks, Alan Martin, Neil Sugden, Pete Coombe and Dave May.
One of my memories from this gig is playing "Radio Gaga" by Queen. We used a pre-recorded back track for the Bass-Synthesizer on this track. The only time we ever used a pre-recorded anything. Queen used a pre-recorded bass-synthesizer track for this song, so we did as well. The audience always enjoyed the hand-clap bit, and so did we.
The Killacourt in Newquay was always great open-air gig. Especially on a hot summer's night.
We also used to play "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen complete with the operatic bit, which Queen didn't even perform "live" themselves.
